Rats and manual therapy? YES!
An ageing pet rat’s story: medication, manual therapy and laser therapy to make everyday life easier.
A little story you might find interesting:
This ageing pet rat came to the vet with a movement problem that had persisted for several months and a wound on its tail from chewing. Examinations revealed that, in this case, arthrosis, spondylosis and neuropathy were causing the problem. The pain had become so severe that the rat had chewed its own tail raw. Alongside medication, we used manual therapy and laser therapy. Once the pain had gone, the rat stopped bothering its tail and the wound soon healed. During the sessions, I also taught the owner techniques to use at home every day, helping make everyday life easier for their elderly little pet.
